Selena The Series Season 3 Release Date & Everything you should know

Selena The Series Season 3 Updates: Selena: The Series is a Netflix biographical drama series about the iconic Mexican-American performer Selena Quintanilla’s rise to fame as she and her family make sacrifices to achieve their lifelong dreams. The first season of the show, which premiered in 2020, followed the singer from her childhood in Texas to the release of her first Spanish album, Ven Conmingo.

Part 2 will be released on May 4 and will look at her first English-language album, her 1992 marriage to Chris Pérez, and her ill-fated relationship with Yolanda Saldivar, who shot and killed her on March 31, 1995.

Since the release of the first two parts, there has been speculation about the possibility of a third season of Selena: The Series. Although, it’s unclear whether or not the show will continue without Selena, it’s not unheard of for a Netflix series to continue without its star.

Selena The Series Season 3 Expected Updates about the Release

Selena: The Series Part 3 is yet to be announced by Netflix, but it was originally pitched as a limited series. Moises Zamora, the show’s creator, was concerned that executives would not see the value in a show about Selena after three or four episodes, so he devised a tight 20-episode arc.

Now that 18 episodes of the show have aired, he says it’s up to Netflix to decide how many more episodes they want to air about Selena.

Seasons 1 and 2 aired within five months of each other, but this is most likely due to Zamora’s approval for both seasons from the start. If Selena is renewed, Netflix dramas usually take a year to produce. As a result, fans may be able to anticipate a Season 3 sometime in spring 2022.

In Selena: The Series Season 3, the entire Quintanilla family is expected to feature once again. Christian Serratos plays Selena Quintanilla, Gabriel Chavarria plays A.B. Quintanilla, Ricardo Chavira plays Abraham, Noemi Gonzalez plays Suzette, Seidy López plays Marcella, Jesse Posey plays Selena’s husband Chris Pérez, Julio Macias plays Pete Astudillo, and Natasha Perez plays Yolanda Saldivar.

According to Deadline, Selena’s sister, Suzette Quintanilla, said of the show in 2018 that “With this series, the show lovers will finally get the complete history of Selena, the Quintanilla family, and the impact she has had on all of their lives.”
