Spiral: From the Book of Saw Updates: Days before Spiral: From The Book of Saw debuts in theaters, the horror-revenge film drops its opening torture scene for the fans a sample of the film’s twisted justice in plain view.

Co-writer John Stolberg depicted that it is an “in canon” film, Spiral that leaves from the past mythos of the Jigsaw killer and iconic Billy doll to tell new kind of macabre story.

The opening scene of the film directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II) shows an methodical killer who appears to be as equally invested into mercilessness.

Spiral’s begins with an armed man who is investigating subway tunnels just to encounter a mannequin which is wearing a similar attire that he’s currently wearing. A pig-covered, cloaked individual catches him – after the man falls to the baited trap- and knocks him out.

When the man awakens, hung to the subway rafters and remaining on a seat while a device is squeezing his tongue, threatening to cut it half if he tries to move too much.

A TV screen turns on and the individual who is masked addresses the man, identifying him as Detective Boswick (Dan Petronijevic), telling him that in return for his long stretches of lying about individuals, basically “railroading” them on the testimony stand, it is now his turn to be railroaded.

The full synopsis for Spiral: From the Book of Saw tells that,

A criminal mastermind releases a twisted type of equity in Spiral, which is the frightening new chapter from the book of Saw.

Working in the shadow of his father, a well esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his new rookie partner (Max Minghella) take the responsibility for a grisly investigation into murders that are shockingly reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past.

Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening secret, Zeke ends up finding himself at the focal point of the killer’s morbid game.

Spiral is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, from the Book of Saw casting Chris Rock, Samuel L. Jackson, Max Minghella, Marisol Nichols and Zoie Palmer. It is planned to hit theaters on May 14.
