Call Me Kat Season 2 Updates: Kat’s Cat Café will continue to operate but under new management. The Mayim Bialik comedy Call Me Kat was renewed for a second season by Fox on Monday. Darlene Hunt, meanwhile, has announced that she will not be returning as showrunner, according to TVLine.

The series is an adaptation of the long-running hit BBC sitcom Miranda and is produced by Bialik and her Big Bang Theory co-star Jim Parsons. Kat abandons her promising career as a math professor in the wake of her father’s death and uses her life savings to open a cat café in Louisville, KY, which she runs with the help of her loyal employees, Phil (Leslie Jordan) and Randi (Kyla Pratt).

The first season of Call Me Kat premiered on Fox on Sunday, January 3, and consisted of 13 episodes. On March 25, the series came to a close, commemorating the cafe’s first anniversary by honoring the life of one of her oldest cats, who died suddenly.

The sitcom has been renewed for a second season by Fox, so there will be plenty of fun to be had at the cat cafe. The show is the network’s first live-action scripted series to be renewed for the forthcoming broadcast season of 2021-2022.
