Another collaboration between McCarthy and Falcone, and follows two childhood friends who invent a way to gain superpowers.

Review webiste Rotten Tomatoes reports that 22%  a positive review, with an average rating of 4.1/10. The critic states that it’s got a few chuckles, but Thunder Force is largely a superhero comedy that’s not funny nor intriguing with as waste of talent. According to Metacritic it had average score of 33 out of 100 based on 32 critics, as negative review.

Richard Roeper of the Chicago Sun-Times gave the film 1.5 out of 4 stars, Kate Erbland of IndieWire gave the film a “C” and wrote: “While McCarthy and Spencer do their best to make the superhero flick work Thunder Force isn’t good enough to break barriers.

Thunder Force plays out like a superhero movie made by someone who has no interest in the genre.

Filmmaker  John Campea stated the film as “utterly horrible”.
