Captain America 4 Updates: Hayley Atwell has only played a substantial role as Peggy Carter in a single Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. Although, that was more than enough to establish her as a firm favorite among the fans, thanks to her victorious performance in Captain America: The First Avenger. But the actress has constantly gone on to find herself as one of the most recurring characters in the MCU.

Her appearance in What if..? where Peggy is imagined to become a super-soldier is her 10th in a Marvel project. Before this she went on to come in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Ant-Man and Avengers: Endgame. She also lent her vocal talents to two projects of the animated Avengers Assemble, Showed up in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Moreover, she made it to the headlines with both, a One-Shot and her own TV show that ran for two seasons, each titled Agent Carter.

The last scene of Infinity Saga finally gave the fans the happy ending for Peggy Carter and Steve Rogers. The viewers had been clamoring to see this best part for a decade and they finally get a sigh of relief. The actress also admitted in the aftermath that her tenure as a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has approached an end.

However, we’ve recently heard from our sources ( the same ones who told us that the project was in development long before it was confirmed ) that she is going to be back to make another appearance in Captain America 4.

According to our intel, she is only going to come back for flashbacks which we’re assuming would continue the exploration of the super-soldier program’s history that played heavily into The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Given Peggy Carter’s ties to the origins of both S.H.I.E.L.D. and Captain America, the former of which might still be active if the show’s concluding post-credits scene is any sign.
