HANNIBAL would be leaving Netflix

“Hannibal” is a popular show of the genre, psychological horror thriller show.  The show went on for three seasons and was canceled later on because of low viewership. The show first premiered on NBC on April 4th, 2013 with a whopping 13 episodes, that was widely applauded because of something so unique in style, mystery as well as the direction and characterization.
The show was brought to Netflix on June 5th, 2020 with a one-year streaming contract.

Despite the show being telecasted five years after its cancellation, Netflix saw a wide spectrum of viewers coming ahead to stream the show. The show is about the relationship that develops between an FBI agent and a psychiatric doctor who is also a cannibalistic serial killer, Hannibal Lecter. Hannibal became the most popular licensed show on Netflix after coming on the platform.
After a year of streaming, Hannibal is not all set to leave the Netflix platform on June 5th, 2021. Fans have sadly only a month left to stream the show now.

HANNIBAL leaving Netflix

There is no official news as of now about where the show would be available next, but considering it’s an NBC show, the peacock would be a logical home. The rights to the show are given out by Sony. As of now, Amazon or HULU also have not taken the rights.
Considering the relationship that Sony and Netflix share, it will not be a surprising event to see Hannibal back on Netflix. But there might be some issues as Amazon have the exclusive rights of the show so let us just wait it out until June, stream the show to the maximum capacity, and then we will see where we can stream it next.
Stay tuned for more updates.
