Initially, the creators of the show wanted the show to be short and precise to save it from useless dragging.

The good place was able to gain its importance since it got released among its viewers. The cast and crew were hesitant for another season as they felt it would cause the show content to suffer and would drag the show for no use. Hence, there wouldn’t be any other season for its fans. It’s sad as we used to love this love-hearted show.

The show gained popularity. However, the show was never supposed to cross a season as per the plan of the makers of the show. The plan was to end the show after few impactful episodes. Therefore, each episode was called “chapters”, not an episode.

They aspired the show to look like a chapter. So when viewers the end chapters they could all relate to the whole story and believe that all of it was a part of one big story.

The statement stated that when the creators were making the show 50 episodes seemed perfected to them to complete the show. He also told that how sometimes the cast/crew got excited to take the show forward.
