Never Have I Ever Season 2 Updates: After the huge success of Never Have I Ever’s season one on Netflix, the show is now back with its second installment. Created by Mindy Kaling, it will premiere on Netflix sometime during July this year. The new season of the coming-of-age comedy-drama would also see some new faces. The streaming giant also posted stills from the new show on its social media.

One of the posts also slyly announced rapper Common joining the cast. The Instagram post which featured a total of ten stills read: “If you’re excited about the new season, we have a lot in COMMON (sic).”

Some of the other cast members, who will continue from season one, also commented on the post. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, who plays the lead role of Devi, commented saying “I see we have a COMMON interest indeed (we’re doing a thing right?) (sic).” Richa Moorjani, who plays Kamala’s character, wrote, “This ain’t no common post (sic).” While Jaren Lewinson (Ben Gross) welcomed the star saying, “HELLLLOOOO.”

The rapper would be seen playing the role of Dr. Chris Jackson, who would also be dating Devi’s mother (Poorna Jagannathan).

The show’s lead also shared some posts on her Instagram of the stills from the show. She captioned the post saying: “Pros: NHIE SEASON TWO RELEASES IN JULY 2021! It’s a date! Cons: literally nothing. Cons: literally nothing. Undetermined factors: we don’t know exactly when in July so I guess let’s just date for the whole month? Wear something cute and I’ll see you soon at Sherman Oaks (sic).”

Never Have I ever Season 2: Plot

The show follows a first-generation Indian-American teenager who tries to fit in the western society while trying to live up to her India parents’ expectations. Along with being academically competitive, Devi also seeks the attention of her crush and school heartthrob Paxton (Darren Barnet).
