My Hero Academia’s First Special Art Exhibit

My Hero Academia’s creator, Japanese-born manga creator Kōhei Horikoshi, has recently received major congratulations on the opening of a special exhibit of the franchise, from Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece. With a worldwide fanbase, the series is celebrating its fifth series with the fifth season airing new episodes in Japan this coming spring. But that does not seem to be all for the hit show. A third feature film will be hitting the screens later this Summer and new manga chapters are being released every week.

The creator has been receiving support and congratulations from fellow creators including Black Clover’s Yuki Tabata, Bleach’s Tite Kubo, and many more. Eiichiro Oda’s special message also contained some very promising words about the franchise.

Eiichiro Oda’s congratulatory message, translated by Twitter handle Aitaikimochi, talked about how elaborate the characters’ designs are in My Hero Academia. He said one of the reasons why Horikoshi is so amazing is because even though it is much easier to do so in less detail, he puts in extra effort in all his creations and enjoys doing so.

As per Crunchyroll, Reacting to My Hero Academia’s new art exhibit, he said that he feels heavily impacted by the characters as their feelings are expressed in such a strong manner and believes that it would capture the hearts of the readers. He ended his message by saying “congratulations on your first Exhibition!”

As the series has a fanbase across the globe, Japanese fans have taken upon themselves to share the art so that the international fans don’t miss out on much as this exhibit is only in Japan for the time being.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the exhibition is now postponed as Japan gears up for a new state of emergency. However, it is only a temporary closure as it will be ready to reopen in May.
