He has been in the headlines too for quite many times due to various controversies that has also affected his career. He was known as Divin Codino (The Divine Ponytail) for his hairstyle. He was almost unstoppable with his skills and fierce instinct in front of the goalpost and he went on to win the Ballon d’Or apart from the FIFA Player of the year accolade for his incredible form in 1993.

With the documentary set to release on May 26,it will be showcasing Robert’s 22 years long golden career and many of his famous controversies. We will also be seeing his transfer from Fiorentina to Juventus due to his conflicts with various coaches.

Baggio’s character will be played by Romulus actor Andrea Arcangeli. Baggio is also known for his penalty miss at the world Cup match in 1994 and it still is one of the bitter memories of world Cup for him.

Baggio is known throughout for missing a penalty kick in the 1994 FIFA World Cup. Baggio was one of the star players of the Italian team during that time and the other teams in the group were in pressure due to his incredible form during that time. But injuries in the Italian team spoiled the game.

He failed miserably in the group stages. He couldn’t even bag one goal but Italy somehow managed to jump over the group stage.

Baggio however got back his form in the match against Nigeria in the round of 16 where he scored twice within the last 12 minutes of the game and brought the game in Italy’s hands. Thus, made sure to book spot for his team in final eight.
