Yasuke Season 2 Updates: The anime series Yasuke, which tells the heroic story of the first black samurai of Japan, recently released its first season on Netflix. And the show has already received much love.
Within the first 24 hours of its release, the series has already received an incredible 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. And as the days roll by, the rave is nowhere near settling.
As the first season keeps increasing the anime’s fan base, it has left fans wondering if it would renew for a season 2 and if it does, what would the series head towards.
Are we getting a Yasuke Season 2?
although there has been no official announcement yet regarding a series renewal since it’s a bit too early, LeSean Thomas, the show’s creator seems quite optimistic about a second season.
Den of GeekIn conversation with ComicBook.com, Thomas talked about how the series was met well by both audience and critics and how a second season might be in the works.
He said that the response to the show has “been really great” and it would be wonderful to experiment with it further. He seemed quite excited and felt it would be nice to “keep thing going.”
Although he couldn’t disclose much, it sure looks like the creator might have plans for a second season of given the opportunity. This is quite an incredible news for the global fan base the series has garnered in such a short time.
Wired applauded Yasuke as a “step forward”, saying that the series is quite incredible in achieving what it did with a complex combination of Thomas, Lakeith Stanfield, and musician Flying Lotus, which played quite well in the end. With somany people appreciating the series, all we have to do is wait for Netflix’s thumbs up.
