The Politician Season 3 Updates: The Politician star Ben Platt recently addressed the audience about the possibility of Season 3 of the political dramedy on Netflix. Platt in a Q&A session on Youtube when asked about the possible return of the show, replied that he is hopeful about the return of next season but at this moment he is unsure whether it will happen or not.

Season 1 of The Politician revolves around the Saint Sebastian High school where Payton Hobart(Ben Platt) runs for the presidential election for the student body.

Season 2 focuses on Payton’s ambition to take away the seat of the incumbent Dede Standish for the State Senate position.

At the end of the season, Dede indicated the audiences by a stirring glance which gave hope to the fans, where Payton could be seen walking on the corridors of the West Wing.

Season 3 could focus on Payton’s fighting for the Vice-Presidential elections, alongside Dede Standish. Current Vice President, Georgina could probably step down from his post and allow Dede and Payton to run in the race for the next Vice President. It could also see Payton shuffling the new marriage with Alice prioritizing fatherhood over presidential aspiration.

The first two seasons premiered within nine months from the first release between 2019 and 2020. The third season is could not turn to be quicker in comparison to the first two seasons due to the Pandemic that has closed the production of the series in New York City.

The earliest possible time that we can expect the third season is sometimes around Spring 2021. Regardless of the current situation rising again heavily, it could also extend till 2022 as well, according to the Murphys.

As far as Season 3 is concerned, there would be some uncertainty on who all will be boarded for the third part because of the break between the last Season and Season 3.
