Rick and Morty Season 6 Updates: There was a tweet that said that the audiences are allowed to ask any queries about Season 6 of Rick and Morty. Does that give a clear indication about Season 6? As the last two seasons released very close to each other, does that mean that the next season will be on a regular basis?
The Time Warner Broadcasting and Adult Swim has boarded 70 episodes in 2018. As it goes, Season 4 and Season 5 moved forward with the order of 10 episodes each. This triggers the possibility of more seasons to come and it can even reach up to Season 10.
Rick and Morty Season 6 to Release on?
The prediction of the release date is hard to make, but there is every hope to believe that the 70-episodes order to be released frequently one season after another. Season 4 took one and a half years to be premiered after the new renewal of 70-episodes.
Series co-creator Dan Harmon, in an interview in July 2020, said that the writing team is done with Season 5 and is currently on Season 6 actively. He also added that the motive is to build the standard of the show on a rolling basis.
This will help Rick and Morty resemble more traditional TV shows. Thus, unofficially, Rick and Morty Season 6 could be seen releasing in June 2022, a year later the premiere of Season 5.
It is not a good idea to expect any trailer or teaser any time soon. The official trailer of Season 4 was released one month before the Season 4 premiere. Season 5 trailer was launched on March 20, 2021, ahead of its release date on June 20, this year.
If not anything so far so soon, fans can at least expect an early animatic from Season 6, anytime in summer 2021. A full trailer will probably release one or three months before the premiere date of Season 6.
Things get a bit confusing for Harmon and co-creator and showrunner Justin Roiland as both of them are a part of the production process.
Harmon was supposed to work on the animatic of Season 5 which delayed the writing of Season 6 and have been working on both the seasons’ finales.
