Gossip Girl Reboot: Meet the New Cast and Protagonists – When will it Release?

Gossip Girl Reboot: The continuation/reboot of the popular teen series premieres in July on HBO Max. The scandalous life of Manhattan’s elite will be exposed again this summer. It will be when the new Gossip Girl is released, a continuation/reboot of the poshest teen series of the past decade that will arrive in July on HBO Max; Therefore, in Spain, we will probably have to wait for the launch of this platform, scheduled for the end of 2021.

But hey, that does not mean that we are getting to know the protagonists of this new version of Gossip Girl Rboot. Forget  Serena Van der Woodsen, Blair Waldorf, and other relics of the past. A new generation of extremely wealthy boys and girls is ready to occupy your chats and your feeds with their frivolities.

Quite appropriately, Cosmopolitan has been the publication in charge of revealing the first official cast photos of the Gossip Girl Reboot with a very colorful group photoshoot for the occasion.

Who stars in the new ‘Gossip Girl’ Reboot?

This relaunch of the series created by  Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage is commanded by Joshua Safran and shares the same universe as the original, where Selena, Blair, and company lived. But, yes, it is set in a very peculiar timeline: after the covid-19 pandemic from which we have not yet emerged. That is, do not expect masks or vaccination campaigns among the concerns of these characters in Gossip Girl Reboot.

And who are these new posh among the poshest in New York? We will get to know them through the eyes of Zoya, a character played by Whitney Peak (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), who will play a role similar to that of Dan Humphrey in the original Gossip Girl, being our way of entry into the exclusive world of people much more repellants.

We mean the likes of Audrey (Emily Alyn Lind, Doctor Sleep)  and her lifelong boyfriend  Aki (Evan Mock), two offspring of the wealthiest families in New York.

And you also have to take into account Julian, a successful influencer who is also Audrey’s best friend and is played by Jordan Alexander.

You could not miss the rake with a German accent  Max Wolfe, played by  Thomas Doherty (Descendants 2, High Fidelity)  in a role with resonances to the Chuck Bass that you loved to hate. If we can classify those signs as hate, of course.

There’s more: Fashion blogger-turned-actress  Tavi Gevinson (Words Enough)  has a chance to play this reboot’s most mysterious character, at least as far as the promo material so far is concerned. Her character is called Kate Keller and the only thing we know so far is, well, that she dresses very fashionably but a lot more demure than her co-stars. A mystery to delve into!

If the new Gossip Girl Reboot follows well in the footsteps of her predecessor, surely there are many more intrigues around the corner. There is less to know them and immerse ourselves in their dreams of frivolity. You sign up? xoxo
