Special Season 2 Updates: Netflix’s Special is an American TV Drama cum Comedy TV series. The show revolves around the life of a gay man named Ryan Hayes.
Ryan has the case of cerebral Palsy that means that there is inc-ordination between ryans muscles and his brain making him clumsy.
However Ryan does not want his disability or him being gay to interfere with his chance at being treated like a normal person.
The show has already broken many stereotypes about gay and disabled people all over the world. Written By Ryan O’Connell ,the writer himself plays the lead in the series as Ryan Hayes story is loosely attached to the writer’s life.
The first season of the TV show with 8 episodes grabbed a major audience from all over the world. Rating sites like Rotten Tomatoes gave the green signal to Special with a score of 95%.
Special Season 2 Release Date
Release date for the second season of the series has been decided to May 20,2021.All 8 episodes will be launched on the same day and will be available for streaming on Netflix.
However the shooting has been stopped due to the increasing spread of the corona virus so there can be delay in the launch of the series.
We will have the same set of stars from the first season of the series with some of the new faces. Some of the actors who would be joining the franchise are Max Jenkins, Charlie Barnett, Anna Ortiz, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Buck Andrews, Anjali Bhimani, Ajay Mehta and Karan Soni.
According to tv guide(it’s a review giving site),the first season was not upto it’s full potential. However it also stated that the lack of a proper budget could be the cause and it hopes that the producers would put on a proper budget for the shooting of the second season.
Winner Of the Writer’s Guild Of America awards, it would not be wrong to say that special has something special worth watching.
