Overlord Season 4 Updates: With its premiere in the year 2014, Overlord has been doing quite well and might even get a season 4 very soon. Overlord is a manga series based on a novel by the same name. written by Kugane Maruyama, it was published in 2010 and has a total of 14 volumes to date, with 3 more to go. Kadokawa Shoten’s magazine started serializing the novel on the 26th of November, 2014 and it was later adapted as an anime series by Madhouse for three seasons, each consisting of 13 episodes.
The series is centered around “Yggdrasil”, a virtual reality game with the graphics being top-notch. According to Reddit fans wants to know when we can expect Season 4 of Overlord.
What is the Release date of Overlord Season 4?
In the Animagi Convention in 2019 held in Germany, the show director and scriptwriter, who were also the guests of honor talked about the upcoming season. Although they did not give any dates, they assured fans about a season 4 saying that they had already started working on it. But with production being delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, the release might be delayed a bit.
An official announcement is expected by the end of the year 2021.
What to expect from Season 4?
With each season of Overlord covering three volumes of the novel, five of them are yet to be adapted. The tenth volume, “The Ruler of Conspiracy”, follows Ainz on his journey to turn his kingdom into paradise. It also tells the story of other rules jealous of Ainz, who plot to destroy his utopia.
“The Craftsman of Dwarf” is the eleventh volume, where Ainz, along with his companion’s Shelter and Aura, heads towards the Dwarf Kingdom in search of rune magic. However, he gets caught in the middle of a battle between Dwarf and Quagoa.
The 12th volume titled “The Paladin of the Holy Kingdom” is action-packed with the attack of the demon emperor, Jaldabaoth, who break the Great Wall of the Holy Kingdom which was the pride of the Holy Kingdom’s defense. This leads to a battle between the demon Emperor and Ainz.
