The show became very appreciated and well received by anime fans all around the globe. The show initially ran between 2012-2015. As of now, the show has renewed for season 2. Kuroko became the most binge-worthy anime on Netflix. It will be open for 30 countries globally.

Kuroko’s Basketball Season 2 Release Date

According to sources, the second season is due for May 12, 2021. Currently, the show is being telecasted in 36 different countries.

Initially, the show was streaming only on a streaming platform Crunchyroll in April 2012. It continued for 3 seasons and 75 episodes. In 2017, the show saw a spinoff film, called Kuroko’s Basketball The Movie: Last Game. The distinctive part of the whole series is its pseudo-superpowers within the matches. It has become the most iconic portion making Kuroko the most watched and the greatest sports anime of all time. The show gained a wider audience because it became approachable ever since it started streaming on Netflix. 

Kuroko’s show is based on the bestselling manga by Tadatoshi Fujimaki. The duo of Tetsuya Kuroko and taiga Kagami are in the highlights, very different freshmen. Kuroko is a polite wallflower who usually fades in the background whereas, Kagami is huge, big, and intimidating. He hails from America. Both of them joined a common school Seirin High School Basketball club They both join together to fight Kuroko’s teammates. 

Kuroko season 2 will have 25 episodes like the earlier one. The time gap between the two seasons is four months which gives its audience hope that season 3 might come on Netflix very soon. However, there have been no updates on season 3 whatsoever. But we are hopeful.
