The Slime Diaries Reveals Rimuru Is an Absolute Workaholic

Published by

The Slime Diaries Episode 2 Updates: Rimuru is the popular, namesake slime from That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime, and his professional discipline is pushed to the limit in the current spin-off The Slime Diaries.

Rimuru has been occupied from one point to the next after being isekai’d into a dream world and turning into a slime. Rimuru has a lot on his plate, from encountering and assisting armies of monsters to establish his own city. And he’s stumped as Episode 2 of The Slime Diaries presents him with an unusual day off.

Everything has started to calm down in Tempest, and Rimuru’s timetable has been unexpectedly transparent for the first time in his life, which he initially welcomes.

However, after a period of inactivity, Rimuru begins to fidget and grow anxious. It gets to the point where he looks to Shion and Geld for duty upon being notified he has the day off.

Rimuru sticks up with Gobta, who is currently on vacation and taking advantage of the opportunity to explore the shops and snack stands in his own city. Rimuru returns to his offices after roaming about for a bit, where he begins to hide from Shion and play around, breaking himself into several parts just for the enjoyment of it.

All About The Slime Diaries Episode 2

Anime News and Facts

Fortunately for him, it is soon declared that it is time to begin plowing and fertilizing the new farmlands. Rimuru is overjoyed and now he has work to do.

Rimuru monitors in slime form and participates in the labor in human form when out in the fields. Rimuru will be there as long as there is work to be completed. And ostensibly menial tasks, such as plowing and planting on a sunny day, are preferable to be bored with little to do. Especially because the results obtained will be exquisite.

Rimuru’s workaholic tendencies aren’t really a terrible sign. The Slime Diaries focuses on the protagonists’ daily lives, rather than the plot-driven incidents and turmoil of the original anime.

Rimuru’s constant busyness clearly ensures that he is changing Tempest in every way and making the lives of its people easier every day.

Though it’s amusing and a little tragic to see Rimuru struggling with downtime, it just means he’d rather be contributing to the city and the community he put around. Overall, being a workaholic isn’t such a bad thing.
