Doom Patrol Season 3: Sandman’s Dead Boy Detectives Officially Joined the team

Doom Patrol Season 3 Updates:  Doom Patrol has now officially stated that they have cast Ty Tenant (War of the Worlds, Tolkien) and Sebastian Croft (HBO’s Game of Thrones, Horrible Histories: The Movie) as the Dead Boy Detectives from Vertigo’s The Sandman.

Ty Tennant will portray the role of Edwin Payne, a member of the Dead Boy Detectives Agency. His description read that he’s been dead since 1916, and has spent 80 years in hells because of a ‘clerical error’ and has seen and experienced such horrors that no one can even imagine.  Whereas Sebastian Croft will play the character of Charles Rowland. Rowland’s description read that he is affable, charming, and dead since 1989, he always gives his best to be cheerful and lively (quite ironical to what he actually is), but he is haunted by his death which happened due to hypothermia and taking it to be forsaken.

Doom Patrol Season 3 Updates

As per Deadline, Created by writer Neil Gaiman, and artists Matt Wagner and Malcolm Jones III, the Dead Boy Detectives made their Debut in 1991’s The Sandman #25. The characters being the ghost of two dead children, teenagers Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland who died in the early 20th century and the late 19th century. Now,  instead of exploring the afterlife, they decide to stay on Earth and investigate the crimes involving Supernatural.

The news of Ty Tennant and Sebastian Croft being selected for the role of Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland was first revealed a week ago. They had joined recent addition Michelle Gomez as Madame Rogue for the Season 3 of Doom Patrol.

Doom Patrol New Cast Addition

Doom Patrol features Brendan Fraser/ Riley Shanahan as Cliff Steele,  Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane, Matt Bomer / Matthew Zuk as Larry Trainor, April Bowlby as Rita Farr, Jovian Wade as Vic Stone / Cyborg and Timothy Dalton as Niles Caulder, a.k.a chief; as the members of the legendary Doom Patrol. The first showed the rescue of the chief from Mr. Nobody, while the second season witnessed a new arrival in the team, i.e, Dorothy Spinner, the chief’s daughter, who had the ability to bring her imaginary friends alive. The series premiered on 15th February 2019, whereas the second season was released on 25th June 2020. The series was set to be renewed for its third season in September 2020. Season 3 of Doom Patrol has not received its release date yet.
