All About Death Note 2

Subsequently, it was met with mixed reactions from both anime fans and general movie go-ers. Additionally, it ended on a cliffhanger, making the sequel a must.

The fans can surely expect plenty of material to dive into when it comes to the stories of Light and the magical notebook that has caused more than a few deaths.

In conversation with We Got This Covered, writer Gregg Russo talked about his hopes for the new production and how he wanted to “go back to the source material.”

He believes that the Death Note is one of the “greatest mangas ever written” and it would be a shame to not present it as it is. Teasing the fans, he also said that the movie is “not going to be exactly what you’re expecting. And I mean that in a very enticing way”
