Reina Hardesty, who starred in Brockmire, has been named as the lead in a spin-off of The Boys. Amazon Prime is rapidly a spinoff of its hit satirical superhero film, The Boys, as revealed in September.

The latest show is set in the same setting as the original comedic drama, and it follows a new generation of young, hormonal, and divisive superhumans as they compete for contracts in the world’s most populous cities while attending a Vought-sponsored college for superhumans.

The spinoff is being produced by The Boys creator Eric Kripke, with Craig Rosenberg appointed as executive producer. It’s portrayed as an R-rated iconoclastic series that’s a component of Hunger Games and part college drama.

As per Deadline, Reina Hardesty, a Greenhouse Academy alumna, has been cast as the lead in The Boys spinoff. The character of Hardesty is being held under wraps.

She will, however, play an ambitious heroine including Aimee Carrero, Shane Paul McGhie, Maddie Phillips, Lizzie Broadway, and Jaz Sinclair, as reported earlier.

Hardesty is clearly no stranger to the superhero genre. Arrowverse fans are possibly familiar with her from her role as Joslyn Jackam / Weather Witch on The CW’s The Flash, so they know how serious she is about her work.

Hardesty doesn’t seem to be related to any of the characters from The Boys comics at first glance. However, as the current spinoff is loosely modeled on the comics’ spoof of the X-Men, known as G-Men, her appearance may be based on one of the characters from the series.
