The Way of the Househusband Part 2 Announced on Netflix

The Way of the Househusband Part 2 Updates: Netflix confirmed that the animation will be back in the second part of “The Way of the Househusband” which premiered on April 8. The Way of the Househusband will return to Netflix for Part 2, the streaming giant confirmed.

“The Way of the Househusband” is directed by Chiaki Kon and animated by J.C. Staff of Musashino. It debuted on Netflix in five episodes on April 8. Soon thereafter, the official Twitter account of Netflix Japan Anime announced the release of the second part of the Action/Comedy anime series.

It should also be noted that the anime has only covered about 26 chapters of the manga, and at the time of writing, there are a total of 69 chapters, which means that we can easily see 3 parts on Netflix, and possibly also 4 parts.

Based on the manga series of the same name, written and illustrated by Kousuke Oono, The Way of the Househusband follows Tatsu, who was once a feared yakuza chief nicknamed “The Immortal Dragon”.

Tatsu withdraws from his criminal life to support his wife, Miku, who is focused on her career, bringing her skills to housework and doing various chores.

In the criminal underworld, Tatsu was once a legendary member of Yazuka who single-handedly defeated a rival gang while wearing only a lead pipe. The “Immortal Tatsu” scares police officers and criminals alike.

Tatsu reappears shortly after his disappearance and is now trying to earn a living as a housekeeper for his wife Miku. Becoming a head of household poses a new challenge for Tatsu as he grapples with setbacks in the kitchen and dreaded supermarket sales.

We can expect the following actors to replay their roles in “The Way of the Househusband 2”:

Kenjirou Tsuda as Tatsu, Shizuka Itou as Miku, Atsuko Tanaka as Hibari Torii, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Torajirou, Mao Ichimichi as Gin, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Masa.

Thanks to the speed at which the series has been reworked for Part 2, we believe Part 2 was being developed even before Part 1 was released.

Unfortunately, Netflix has yet to announce a release date for Part 2, as far as we can the release date is currently under speculation. We could see the anime return to Netflix before the end of 2021, likely between October and December.
