Perry Mason Season 2 Won’t Include Tatiana Maslany Sister Alice

Perry Mason Season 2 Updates: Sister Alice, played by Tatiana Maslany, will not return for Season 2 of HBO’s grim and gritty Matthew Rhys-led Perry Mason remake TV show.

Sister Alice, played by Tatiana Maslany, will not be returning for Season 2. When Raymond Burr portrayed the hero lawyer built by author Erle Stanley Gardner in the iconic CBS series Perry Mason, which aired from 1957 to 1966, he became a TV star.

Mason was resurrected by HBO in 2020 for a much darker and edgier version of Gardner’s work, starring Matthew Rhys as the renowned criminal defense lawyer.

Of note, HBO’s Perry Mason did not dwell entirely on Rhys’ Mason. It also starred Maslany as Sister Alice, a well-known old-style evangelist caught up in a heinous child murder case.

Sister Alice will not be returning as Perry Mason arrives for season 2 due to scheduling conflicts. According to TVLine, Maslany’s rep merely said that sister Alice’s “arc came to a close as expected in the Season 1 sequel.”

Perry Mason Season 2 Who is Alice?

It appears that Maslany’s departure from Perry Mason was already planned after season one. Sister Alice was an interesting character, and Maslany gave a stunning portrayal in the part, so this is a piece of unfortunate news.

Maslany, on the other hand, has a packed acting schedule, as she is scheduled to star in the Disney+ TV show She-Hulk. Even if the show had planned to get Sister Alice back, filming on She-Hulk would have definitely stopped her from heading to Perry Mason.

There’s always the possibility that Sister Alice will appear in upcoming seasons of the HBO series if it continues this way.

Perry Mason seems to have plenty of fascinating characters to concentrate on even despite Sister Alice’s departure. Season 1 stars Eric Lange and Justin Kirk have also been upgraded to the main cast, so viewers can hope to see a lot more of them in season 2.
