Army Of The Dead: Trailer Breakdown and Much More

Published by

Army Of The Dead Updates: The action-packed Army of the Dead promo has all the interesting tidbits. Zack Snyder is also gaining ground after a promising comeback to the DCEU with Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which premiered to much acclaim on HBO Max.

The anticipation for Snyder’s long-awaited superhero extravaganza has scarcely subsided, and the filmmaker’s next film is indeed in the books. Army of the Dead, which will debut on Netflix on May 21st, follows a ragtag squad of mercenaries who try a daring Las Vegas heist amid a zombie apocalypse.

Alongside the first movie, Snyder has a companion piece and an anime spin-off in the works, guaranteeing the Army of the Dead franchise’s long-term survival.

Army of the Dead, starring Dave Bautista, Omari Hardwick, Ella Purnell, and others, offers a somewhat different flesh-eating encounter than Zack Snyder’s breakthrough Dawn of the Dead revival and features the filmmaker’s signature arresting visual effects and thematic aggression.

The casino atmosphere, Snyder’s dry wit, and more zombies than you can swing a dying croupier at were all illustrated in a brief teaser released in February, but it revealed very little about Army of the Dead’s storyline and roles.

Hunter Bly, portrayed by Hiroyuki Sanada of Lost, Mortal Kombat, and The Last Samurai fame, pays Scott a stay at his cafe. The idea of Army of the Dead starts to appear with Hunter’s appearance.

Hunter, who seems to be a powerful and wealthy man, has offered Ward $50 million in exchange for one final task.

Snyder’s Cinematography Screen Rant

After establishing the basic storyline, the trailer for Army of the Dead focuses on Zack Snyder’s stunning cinematography, which includes a helicopter flying over a sunset, a desolate rural road, and a run-down shack.

Snyder works as both director and cinematographer, so it’s no mystery to see his signature design in all of its gritty beauty, suggestive of the DCEU’s Knightmare.
