Elizabeth Olsen Teases Scarlet Witch May Appear In MCU’s Spider-Man 3

Published by

Spider-Man 3 Updates: According to its star, Tom Holland, Spider-Man 3 is the most ambitious solo superhero film ever made. The film’s potentially enormous cast and its broader consequences for the Marvel Cinematic Universe have sparked speculation.

Given that Benedict Cumberbatch will play Stephen Strange before taking on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it’s safe to assume that Spider-Man 3 and the Doctor Strange sequel are at least tangentially linked.

Though Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has been tight-lipped about who will appear in the film, it appears that at least some of the rumors will be confirmed. Former Spider-Man villains Electro (Jamie Foxx) and Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) are set to appear, as well as Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, according to reports.

Daredevil, a Netflix series starring Charlie Cox, has also been mentioned, with filming on Spider-Man 3 allegedly already completed.

If even half of these rumors are true, Spider-Man 3 will feature a massive cast, and Holland’s recent remarks on Variety’s Awards Circuit podcast seem to confirm this. The actor who plays Peter Parker claims that he has never seen a solo superhero film.

Holland’s remarks confirm what many people have been thinking as more and more stories about the cast and the movie surface. They also allay concerns that Spider-Man 3 will be overburdened.

There’s a fear that the film’s scope will push Holland’s Spider-Man to the background, failing to sufficiently tie up the loose ends left by Spider-Man: Far From Home.

However, it appears that Holland is very enthusiastic about the film and its script, which would not be the case if his Peter Parker wasn’t prominently featured. The audience was more curious and excited to watch this series with high expectations.

At this point, it seems almost certain that the Multiverse will play a role in Spider-Man 3. With WandaVision reportedly preparing to break this open, the MCU is moving in new and exciting directions, and Spider-Man 3 could provide the first look at the consequences of Marvel’s first Disney+ series’ world-changing events.

Only time will tell which rumors are true and which are false, but Holland’s statements appear to confirm that the untitled Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel will be one of the most successful superhero films ever.
