Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Updates: There were rumors in the weeks leading up to the season 1 finale that a trademark for a Jujutsu Kaisen film had been licensed.

This was verified just hours prior to the final episode aired on March 26th, with the announcement that MAPPA will create a film titled “Jujutsu Kaisen 0.”

The ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0′ film is slated to drop in Winter 2021, but no clear date has been announced as of this report. Though it has been reported that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will be released this Winter, a more precise date has yet to be determined.

Fans should keep in mind, though, that this Winter 2021 release date is most likely only for the Japanese theatrical version of the movie.

Whether this is right or not, the Jujutsu Kaisen film will most likely be released in theatres worldwide within two and five months after its Japanese release. The movie will update the prequel storyline to the anime film, dubbed ‘Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School,’ it has been stated.

The movie will adapt the Cursed Kid Arc, according to the Jujutsu Kaisen Fandom website. Yuta Okkotsu is a young boy who is troubled by his childhood friend Rika in this novel.

Rika’s soul has been cursed, and she has turned into a cursed being that destroys anyone that poses a risk to Yuta.

Satoru Gojo persuades Yuta to join Jujutsu High, and he starts to study Jujutsu sorcery “alongside his new peers: Maki Zenin, a Cursed Tools user, Toge Inumaki, a Cursed Speech user, and Panda, and apparently talking panda bear.”

The release of the movie on various streaming sites has not been verified at the time of publishing. If the film follows in the footsteps of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train (Japanese premiere, international preview, web streaming), it’s a good bet that it’ll be officially released at a certain stage.

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train is currently scheduled for release on Apple TV, Microsoft Store, Vudu, Google Play, PlayStation Store, and Amazon. Fans should foresee Jujutsu Kaisen 0 to be released on digital services in Summer 2022, considering the film is released theatrically around the planet in Spring 2022.
