The Suicide Squad Trailer Breakdown: Story Reveals

Published by

Suicide Squad Updates: The Suicide Squad’s first full trailer has actually landed, and there’s a lot to take in – practically in the case of King Shark.

Following the failure of 2016’s Suicide Squad, there have been demands to unleash the “Ayer Cut,” but amid the film’s negative reception, there was plenty worthwhile about the idea of B-list DC characters pursuing Margot Robbie’s twisted-but-charming Harley Quinn to her grave.

James Gunn (recently shot by Marvel) was placed in charge of The Suicide Squad in the hopes of finding something better.

The Suicide Squad is a soft remake of sorts, rather than a direct sequel to the 2016 film. The Suicide Squad, which stays squarely within the DCEU system, adds a largely new batch of desperate antiheroes, throws in a few old favorites, and thus produces a brand new (albeit just as suicidal) crowd willing to die on Uncle Sam’s side. Uncle Sam’s disinherited half-brother twice away, maybe.

Although teasing the offbeat relationship between the different identities in this mammoth ensemble, the Suicide Squad trailer is generous in offering main plot hints and first glimpses at new characters. Given the frenetic nature of activities, the early indications are very positive. Here’s what you need to know about The Suicide Squad’s big promo.

The Suicide Squad Bus Scene

Screen Rant

The trailer for Suicide Squad opens with the titular collective’s bus rounding a city intersection. The car is in a run-down condition and is colored in a bright blue with yellow lines.

The movie appears to have repurposed the van in the midst of their search, based on the decor. The Suicide Squad’s latest tragic event will be set on DC’s fictitious South American island of Corto Maltese, and the Suicide Squad’s fun-bus could be roaring via the lanes of the island’s capital, according to James Gunn.

Bloodsport: Idris Elba

Screen Rant

The movie brings us into the van and gives us our initial glimpse at Idris Elba as Bloodsport. Bloodsport, a professional assassin, and a supervillain from DC’s comic book Bloodsport is basically Task Force X’s new Deadshot and is recognized by his peers as Robert DuBois.

Elba’s character is seen throwing weapons to his mates and making a joke about John Cena’s Peacemaker’s toilet-themed headgear.

Elba is wearing a bloody vest, while the rest of the Team is clad in more casual clothes, meaning that the group could leave their signature super costumes at any stage during their adventures.
