Soul Eater: 5 Times Maka Albarn Was Right (& 5 She Was Wrong)

Published by

Soul Eater Updates:  To keep characters realistic, even those who appear to be perfect on the outside have their own conflicts and insecurities.

Characters are by far one of Soul Eater’s strongest suits (and it doesn’t falter in any department as the years pass, aside from maybe some of its humor).

Their designs are eye-catching and memorable, and they perfectly reflect each character’s personality. Even characters who appear to be perfect on the outside have their own conflicts and insecurities to prevent them from becoming unrealistically perfect, as the titular heroine Maka does.

At first glance, she appears to be a brilliant honor student who is quick-witted and battle-ready. While this is true, she is also shockingly prone to allowing her emotions to get the better of her in critical moments, resulting in issues that she could have avoided.

Despite her intelligence, she has a habit of not always being the most logical and clear-headed thinker, particularly when it comes to her interpersonal relationships. Overall, this results in her being a well-balanced character who has done roughly as much good as bad.

Soul Eater Right: She Tried To Help Soul Socialize More At The Dance:-

Although Maka appears to be the more introverted of her and her partner, she is shown to be the polar opposite at their school’s party. She’s upbeat and chatty, prompting Soul to inquire as to why she’s behaving so strangely, to which she replied that they should try to be more sociable because that’s what one does at a party.

When he doesn’t seem to want to, she demonstrates an extraordinary ability to read his emotions by bringing him raw fish from the buffet, which she despises but is his favorite.

Maka is an extremely bright student who, with enough determination, can learn just about anything she sets her mind to. She does, however, have a tendency to think too highly of herself, which is an apparent flaw of hers that gets her into more trouble than it helps her.

Maka constantly assigns blame for their failure to fellow meisters Black Star and Death the Kid, rather than seeing it as a team effort that included her. She finally apologizes and moves on, but it could have been done sooner if she hadn’t chosen to storm off.
