Doom Patrol Season 3 Updates: The Doctor Who and Sabrina actress joins the models of Doom Patrol’s upcoming season in a role that could be a major threat for the team.

Michelle Gomez has been represented in the third season of Doom Patrol as the villain, Madame Rouge. Michelle Gomez is a fan favorite character heroine who has made a name for herself in genre fiction depicting the female incarnation, Missy, on Doctor Who and was the villainous Madame Satan on The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

She was also the most recently seen on the Golden Globe-nominated, The Flight Attendant, & seems to be sticking with HBO Max as she gets into an upcoming season of the Doom Patrol.

Doom Patrol is basically based on the long-running DC comic series of the same name that premiered on the DC Universe streaming service back in 2019 to critical acclaim, for its oddness and emotional heartfelt moments.

Season 2 of the series aired on DC Universe and also HBO Max and ended on a huge cliffhanger as they were only one episode away from the season finale before the COVID-19 pandemic forced the production to keep a stop.

The series was renewed for a third season that would be aired exclusively on HBO Max, and now a new villain joins the fight.

According to Bleeding Cool, Michelle Gomez has been represented in the role of Madame Rouge in the series’ in the upcoming third season. Madame Rouge is described as a complicated and electrifying eccentric who reaches Doom Manor with a very specific mission but has no knowledge off. Gomez will be a series regular on the show’s 3^rd season of Doom Patrol.

Doom Patrol Season 3: Who is Madame Rouge?

Madame Rouge was bought in light in the pages of DC Comics back in 1964 in Doom Patrol #86. She was a French actress, who, after a car crash suffered from a split personality.

Doom Patrol villain, the Brain, and his partner, Monsieur Mallah, executed surgery on her that kept her devilish personality as the dominant one and has gone on to be a major villain for the Doom Patrol as a member of the Brotherhood of Evil. She posses elasticity that allows her to stretch her body parts to any size & allows herself to shapeshift into any looks she chooses.

Madame Rouge’s history suggests that she will be positioned as a foil for Rita Farr (April Bowlby) this season. Both are heroines who possess elasticity as a power. Rita can morph her body but has not quite read how to control her shapeshifting abilities.

Rita is currently on the path to master her abilities & wanting to become a superhero, so a villain with similar powers could help Rita grow as a role. Madame Rouge having a split personality also would put her as a foil to Jane (Diane Guerrero) this season.

Madame Rouge’s looks also suggest that season 3 might see the intro of the Brain & the Brotherhood of Evil. The Brotherhood of Evil was referenced by Mr. Nobody in the first season of Doom Patrol & also before he gained his powers, he was fired from the Brotherhood of Evil by the Brain & substituted with an intelligent french gorilla, a reference to Monsieur Mollah. Madame Rouge’s intro looks forward to hinting that the team’s biggest enemy might be coming for them in the third season.
