Ant-Man 3 Reportedly Has A Supremely Bizarre Working Title

Ant-Man 3 Updates: Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania receives a working title that clearly suggests Kang the Conqueror would create havoc in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The third movie in the Ant-Man series, and Paul Rudd’s fifth presence in the MCU after Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame.

Evangeline Lilly returns to play as The Wasp/Hope Van Dyne, Michael Douglas played as Hank Pym, and Michelle Pfeiffer portrayed as Janet Van Dyne. Jonathan Majors will allegedly play Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania.

Kathryn Newton is also another latest casting director, with the Big Little Lies and Freaky performer succeeding Emma Fuhrmann after Cassie Lang’s part was resurrect.

Nothing is known about the storyline, but the title suggests that it would heavily include the Quantum Realm, which seems to be a logical development as it was discussed in both Ant-Man and the Wasp and Avengers: Endgame.

The film does not yet have a release date, but shooting is scheduled to begin in the spring or summer of 2022. That means Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania must be in the works, and a recent working title seems to prove it.

Ant-Man 3 Title

Screen Rant

Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania will begin development under the code name “GOAT Rodeo.” The title is most definitely a reference to the events in the film and is not a reference to the pets featured on the set of Thor 4.

Marvel is well aware of how people would pore over their working titles and has taken to dropping hints in them as well as regularly faking out the fans for fun. To be honest, GOAT Rodeo might be anything, but it needs to be seen if it reveals anything about the forthcoming sequel.

According to a fast internet search, a “goat rodeo” is an experience that goes so horribly wrong that all you can do is sit back and watch in fear. One theory is that the developing title refers to Kang the Conqueror causing massive mayhem in the film as a result of his Quantum Realm shenanigans. It’s commonly assumed he’ll enter the MCU through the Quantum Realm, and this “goat rodeo” suggests it won’t go well.

Of note, the working title may be a deliberate misdirection by the filmmakers, resulting in it becoming an inside joke. The acronym GOAT relates to the Best Of All Time in pop culture and maybe an in-joke about how Scott Lang sees itself in the MCU. Whatever the connection, Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania is sure to get fans speculating.
