Cocaine Bear True Story Updates: Elizabeth banks’ latest project is ‘ cocaine bear’. This movie is set to have a theatrical release in 2022. This is said to be the most surprising movie of 2022 as the movie deals with a true narcotics story that has been left unsolved for years.

The story is based on a drug smuggler who gone wrong and also about the black bear which smuggled over a million dollars of drugs in it.

The movie crew did not reveal any important information about the movie. It has just announced that the story cocaine bear will be based on a true story. The movie is still in the preliminary stages of development. The crew described the movie as “ a character-driven thriller”.

The true story happened in Kentucky and Georgia in 1985. The movie may deal mainly with the ill-fated drug smuggler or else it would mainly focus on the black bear the so-called cocaine bear.

Another important and interesting angle is that the movie may deal mainly with narcotics smuggling.

The true story is about Andrew Carter Thornton who was not a smuggler by career. After all, he was a narcotics officer on Lexington, Kentucky police force. In 1997, he resigned from his job in the police force to practice law. But in the meantime, he was on the other side of the narcotics trade.

In 1989, a federal indictment proved that he was a member of the smuggling ring which involved some of the other police officers.

He was arrested and charged many times for smuggling drugs and weapons. He was also arrested for stealing weapons from the naval base.

Thornton planned a daring drug operation in which he could fly over Chattahoochee national forest in Georgia. According to the plan at first, he would carry the drugs and throw them into the forest and he would come down using the parachute.

But unfortunately, the parachute did not work at the moment. Thornton was found in a driveway carrying 77 pounds of cocaine.

Authorities started to search the remaining drugs that were dropped into the forest. They found the last bag empty which carried 75 pounds of cocaine worth $15 million.

They also found a dead bear around who had overdosed cocaine. The research said that the bear could consume less than a pound and the remaining 74 pounds of drugs remains unfound.

It is one of the strangest true crime stories. It is expected that the movie cocaine bear may figure out the real events of the smuggling and some of the ideas about what happened to the remaining drugs.
