Josh Brolin: As per the information, Josh Brolin who played the role of Thanos selected these movies for more than just financial reasons.
As audience all over the continents knows that, the Marvel Cinematic Universe(MCU) has become the most successful, and at some moments it can feel like all-pervasive in the movie universe.
However, what many people tend to miss is that producing the 2008 Iron Man was a huge gamble that may have ended in Marvel losing film rights to many of their favorite characters.
Of course, by the period Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame was made, Marvel no longer had to think about losing his roles if the films had failed.
There was, though, something that the makers of those films inevitably had to worry themselves with, the ballooning paycheques that the biggest stars of the franchise were demanding.
In addition to all the salaries, Marvel’s returning actors have been seeking for the last two Avengers movies to date, executives also had to put aside some amount for the latest star.
As an artist cast as Thanos, there is no question that Josh Brolin will play an integral part in the achievement of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
Over the past few decades, it has become more popular for the box office to be dominated by the new installment of a big film series. In reality, there have been so many event films released nowadays that it’s no longer all that thrilling when a new Star Wars or Fast and Furious movie is released.
From the other end, when viewers heard that Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame were going to be announced, it would be an understatement to say that filmgoers were enthusiastic. After all, these two films were the synthesis of all the MCU movies and TV shows that had come in before them.
Josh Brolin: Big Bucks
After the release of Avengers: Infinity War, the masses seemed immediately intrigued by the size of the film’s plot. Besides being interested in how Marvel made such a big story come to life, a lot of MCU viewers were very excited to understand how much the film’s key stars paid for their route optimization. Luckily for them, it didn’t take too long for a lot of details about the earnings of the actor to be released.
When it comes to Josh Brolin’s Avengers: Infinity War pay, it would make sense if he were paying a lot. After all, as fans of the film already know, Thanos was probably the main star of the film.
On the other hand, because Brolin had only made guest appearances in MCU movies until that point, it would not be a big deal to play another actor like Thanos. As a result, Brolin had no powers at Marvel over the handle in the same manner that his co-stars did.
In the end, Josh Brolin is said to have invested $5-6 million to star Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. Of course, that’s an exorbitant sum of money, but people like Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson get paid a lot more. However, considering that these actors have built the MCU into the most profitable film franchise of all time, that seems to be quite fair.
As it turns out, the biggest reason Josh Brolin decided to play Thanos is that the role was such awesome. “ They brought me a huge bible when they came to me. I liked the fact that it was both [of them].
If it had been one of the Avengers—and I don’t mean it, I actually shouldn’t say that, but I’m just going to say that—I definitely wouldn’t have done it. But the fact that all the Avengers were against this one man, I liked that part of it.”
