Witcher Season 2 Restarted Filming After Covid-19 Pandemic

Published by

Witcher Season 2 Updates: It’s hard to imagine, but due to new safety policies, a number of TV and movie projects have slowed down significantly in the last 12 months. And the hugely successful Netflix series The Witcher has had its fair share of problems, including having to cancel some episodes due to Covid-19.

Season 2 of the Henry Cavil series is now in its second year of production, and showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich has expressed her appreciation in a sweet new update.

On the Netflix sequence, the showrunner normally shares non-spoiler moments from the package. She gives viewers a sneak peek at some of the show’s security policies earlier this year.

She’s also posted a number of funny videos on social media, such as jumping away from those on set to stuff candy down her throat or sharing memories from the show. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich took a moment to pause as the show enters its second year of shooting Season 2.

Lauren Schmidt Hissrich took a moment to pause as the show enters its second year of shooting Season 2. It’s worth noting that, while most programs air at the same time each year, this hasn’t always been the case for subscription cable or online shows.

Wide productions, in particular — consider Outlander, Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, and so on — will take even longer to film. Droughtlander is a term used in Outlander to describe the long periods between seasons.

In reality, when the show was first announced in December of 2019, Lauren S. Hissrich was quoted as saying that Season 2 will not be released until 2021, which could still happen later this year.

However, shooting for The Witcher Season 2 has been dealt a particularly rough hand this time around. When Covid-19 aired last year, it was one of the shows that were noticeably shut down for months.

The series was then put on hold for a second time until it was restarted due to Covid-19. The audience was more anticipating to watch this series. For more updates stay tuned.
