Michael Fassbender Will Play An Assassin in The Killer

The Killer: Michael Fassbender will portray an assassin in The killer by David Fincher. There are a few video game fans and movie fans who hold in high esteem Justin Kurzel’s 2016 Assassin’s Creed adaptation.

The live-action film has fallen victim to the game-to-film curse, as well as the lead actor Michael Fassbender will not be interested in the sequel any time soon.

The absence of a live-action sequel does not mean that the 43-year-old will withdraw his killer expertise, though, as the star has signed on to play the murderer in a somewhat different storyline.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Fassbender and Se7en producer David Fincher had teamed up with the assassin thriller The Killer for Netflix. This content could be more for Fassbender’s forte, having had no experience of the Assassin’s Creed franchise subsequent to shooting.

Based on the French graphic novel Killer, the film would bring Fincher and Se7en writer Andrew Kevin Walker together to present a feature labeled “hardboiled noir.” Fassbender would play a hitman who has reservations about the existence and psychological consequences of his career.

Fincher has been involved in this project since 2007, when another Se7en winner, Brad Pitt, was given the lead spot. Though Pitt is a decent actor in virtually everything he touches, Fassbender would no doubt be brilliant at honing the cold, distant attitude that hitmen frequently bear on the silver screen.

Fassbender also did his best with Assassin’s Creed content, taking Callum Lynch-a modern-day predecessor of the Spanish assassin Aguilar-into a live-action frame. The overwhelming material of the franchise seemed to smother a film that never seemed to catch the core elements of Brotherhood’s plot.

Despite the flaws in the movie, we assumed that it was worthwhile highlighting some scenes and the logics of the film that all the audience doesn’t know, which makes them too keen on the project, and also inducing the production’s attempt at the most aggressive fighting stunts on the sets of the movie, and the fact is that Michael Fassbender managed to do 95 percent of his stunts on his own.

One video game adaptation that will potentially crack the curse is Ruben Fleischer’s upcoming Uncharted movie. The term ‘upcoming’ maybe a little exaggerated, as it is not due to be out until February 2022, but Tom Holland’s promise of great action scenes and his overall positivity to translation is enough to keep us going until it is out.
