Diablo 2: Resurrected Crossplay Could Still Come After Launch Says Dev

Diablo 2: Resurrected Updates: Diablo II: Resurrected is going to feature cross-progression. It came to light that there would not be the cosplay backed in at the launch time.

Rod Fergusson, the executive producer of the game opens his thoughts on the cross play as he says, the probability of crossplay to be coming after the launch has not been ruled out.

It has been several months after the rumors about the leaks, the official announcement about unveiling the Diablo II remaster by the Blizzard Entertainment last weekend in BlizzConline 2021.

if we talk about the other things of Diablo II: resurrected, this is going to come with the base game with the package of Lord of Destruction, the early expansion which has bring the overhauled mechanics to the game play, with the 2 fresh character classes and at last a fifth act. There some other interesting stuff in the game as well.

The additional features are the players are able to freely switch the original and the remasters visuals of Diablo at free times. This is going to come in-front of audience with a number of quality of life improvements with overall enhance experience.

In the discussion with Eurogamer, the executive producer of the game has given a clue about the high anticipation of remaster. With the asked questions about the crossplay, Rod Fergusson has revealed that the Blizzard has considered this feature.

He also says that this feature is not available at the launch time but this does not mean that it is not going to come. With the time going on, the developers plan to investigate the possibility of crossplay.

From this we can understand that the crossplay is going to come somewhere after the launch. The post-launch update may include this feature inside the game.

It has to be said that Blizzard should first run into the logistical and technical problems which are hindering the crossplay’s readiness, which is not known. By the Fergusson’s words about this issue, it does not certainly state about any hints regarding this.

Considering the popularity of crossplay in the recent times, the addition of such feature feels to be a good thought to go on for and will be advantageous for the gameplay.
