Stranger Things Season 4 Is Darkest Ever, Says Finn Wolfhard

Stranger Things Season 4 Updates: Finn Wolfhard claims season 4 of Stranger Things is really the darkest entry in the series, and with each season the series becomes increasingly darker.

Since COVID-related development delays saw the fourth season moved back soon after shooting began in 2020, shooting on the Netflix series is in full flow.

Netflix had planned to debut the 4th season of Stranger Things in early 2021, but shooting resumed in the fall and is reported to be sluggish than normal, so the 80s sci-fi series does not yet have a return date.

In 2019, Season 3 of Stranger Things aired as well as the action was greater than ever, too. The show attempts to go bigger and better than ever with every season and it feels like season four is trying to continue the trend.

Season 3 of Stranger Things finished with the world’s main characters, with Dustin, Will leaving Hawkins, Lucas, Indiana, leaving behind Mike, Eleven, and Max.

However, most of the attention was on the future of Jim Hopper (David Harbour), who was seen in a Russian prison camp after the activities of the premiere left his fate unspecified.

What Finn Wolfhard says about Stranger Things Season 4?

Stranger Things season 4, among many other loose strings remaining at the end of the last season will most likely resolve that story arc, but Wolfhard’s remarks to CBC do not offer a clean solution.

Season 4 of Stranger Things is the darkest chapter for the series yet, the Mike Wheeler star claims. Wolfhard notes that while he found that season 3 was extremely gloomy and scary, season 4 only increased the ante.

Undoubtedly, Wolfhard states he is very happy to see the show for viewers but offers no clues about when the series is going to come back.

Stranger Things’ cast and crew have regularly teased the new season without giving it away even more. Stranger Things is evolving out of its Hawkins origins into an entirely different beast from a main character’s comeback of a mystery new killer played by Freddy Krueger star Robert Englund.

If the characters grow into fully developed adults, to keep audiences involved, the stakes must be raised because, with the remarks of Wolfhard, it looks just like what’s happening.

With scary creatures haunting Hawkins and complex family situations, Stranger Things has already had its good proportion of goosebumps and excitements.

In the new season, it will all be flipped on its head as the party is broken up and with drastically lesser numbers they must contend with frightening powers.

Stranger Things will certainly figure out a way to get those characters back together, but before then, under their own, they would have to face monsters, both internally and externally. It sounds pretty grim, really.
