My Hero Academia Goes Viral Over a Subtle John Cena Easter Egg

Published by

My Hero Academia Updates: One fan of My Hero Academia went viral for finding a secret John Cena homage on his next big movie poster!

As fans are waiting for the release of the fifth season of the anime series in March (after all, this is one of the most awaited anime releases of this month), another significant event is waiting to see it release the third feature film of My Hero Academia.

A mysterious trio of teaser posters featuring Izuku Midoriya, Shoto Todoroki, and Katsuki Bakugo have confirmed this film project. However, Izuku had an expression that reminded a fan of any F9 and WWE Superstar.

Izuku and his fellow students of Class 1-A defended an island and its inhabitants from the self-appointed heir apparent of All For One, the young villain Nine, after the previous film in the My Hero Academia franchise, Two Heroes.

While Deku almost died in the war and passed the power of One For All to Bakugo, the young heroes were finally able to beat Nine and take a big move on their path to becoming skilled fighters of crime.

The specifics of its storyline are still a mystery with the third movie yet to announce its name to the public, but it is clear that at least three of the key characters will be having a major upgrade to meet an unknown threat.

My Hero Academia John Cena Easter Egg

Twitter user Fountain Deku posted this funny grab that makes us believe that Deku throws up the patented “You Can’t See Me” hand wave of John Cena as he braces for a major new adventure in Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki alongside his fellow aspiring heroes.

Following his match against the Fiend at last year’s Wrestlemania, John Cena was absent from World Wrestling Entertainment, but it is understandable given that he was added in the next upcoming installment as the newest part of the Fast and Furious series.

While we doubt we’ll see Cena do any voice work in My Hero Academia’s anime franchise, UA Academy’s heroes have plenty of heroes to help them fight All For One and the League of Villains!

What do you think about this funny link between the Golden Boy of WWE and My Hero Academia’s protagonist? In the comments, feel free to let us know or touch me directly on Twitter @EVComedy to chat about all things comics, anime, and the UA Academy universe!
