Chris Pratt Back in LA After Thor: Love and Thunder

Thor: Love and Thunder Updates: Chris Pratt is back in Los Angeles after shooting Thor: Love and Thunder in Australia, indicating that Star-role Lord’s in the film is going to be minimal.

After weeks of shooting Thor: Love and Thunder in Australia, Chris Pratt is back in Los Angeles. The actor is known to be resuming his role as Star-Lord as he and his co Galaxy Hero Guardians joined the God of Thunder in his upcoming adventures.

Driven by Taika Waititi, James Gunn has been working on the project to ensure that the fan-favorite cosmic team is used in line with what has been developed with their characters so far in the MCU.

Thor: Love and Thunder, starring the Galaxy Keepers, makes sense as Thor was last seen with them at the end of Avengers: Endgame.

The Asgardian Prince formally relegated reigning duties to Valkyrie as he adopted his true self as an explorer rather than a king. But whatever happens in this forthcoming standalone MCU will rope him back to Asgard and it may have something to do with the appearance of Gorr The God Butcher; played by Christian Bale, the character will be the main antagonist of the plot.

In the meantime, the film will also see Jane Foster’s return to the franchise as she plays the superhero person of Mighty Thor.

Thor: Love and Thunder: Chris Pratt Back in LA

Just last week of January, Pratt was spotted reuniting with Hemsworth as a couple set up to shoot Thor: Passion and Thunder. Not long after that, set pictures appeared to show the actors, as well as other Galaxy Guards, in makeup and filming.

Today, Pratt is back in Los Angeles in time for Valentine’s Day, with Only Jared taking photos of him and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger out and about. It’s unclear when he returned from Australia, but it might have been a while because he was still out.

Initially, Nebula and Mantis actresses Karen Gillan and Pom Klementieff were reported to have left Australia; more recently, Dave Bautista, who portrays Drax the Destroyer, has also finished work for Thor: Love and Thunder.

Between those and Pratt’s sighting in Los Angeles, it’s fair to assume that the Guardians of the Galaxy will play minor roles in the movie. Perhaps their presence is merely to create a connection between what was last seen in the Endgame and the forthcoming Waititi blockbuster. After that, they may have moved on to their own adventure, which is supposed to take place in Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Whatever the case may be, restricting the role of the Guardians of the Galaxy in Thor: Love and Thunder are for the best. As cool as their chemistry with the Avenger is, there are still a lot of moving parts in the film, and adding a complete superhero team could make things feel overstuffed.

And if Marvel Studios were able to sort it out as they had done before in Captain America: Civil War, it would also draw the attention away from the film’s central plot.

What is remarkable is that the actors were able to go through all the hardships of traveling during the pandemic, including a mandatory 14-day quarantine for a comparatively small part.
