Will WandaVision Have Its Own ‘Luke Skywalker’ Moment? Elizabeth Olsen ‘Really Excited’ for Surprise to Come

WandaVision Updates: Let’s get to speculation, lovers of WandaVision. Now four episodes into its run, the Disney+ series has welcomed back many familiar Marvel Cinematic Universe faces, not just the title characters of Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, but also FBI Agent Jimmy Woo of Randall Park and Dr. Darcy Lewis of Kat Dennings.

But another MCU vet might make a return to Westview, as Olsen mentions to TVLine, one that viewers have not even heard of, as was the case with Park and Dennings.

Back in December, with the emergence of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, who had remained surprisingly a mystery until the Season 2 finale aired, fellow Disney+ series The Mandalorian shocked audiences.

When asked whether WandaVision had anything similar in store, namely a casting that she can’t believe hasn’t yet leaked, Olsen offered us a quick, “Yes.” And although she dared not give any details, she expressed with a laugh that “I’m really excited” for viewers to see what’s coming (or who).

Jac Schaeffer, the producer of WandaVision, was equally tight-lipped on who could turn up on the program, but she indicated that for the remaining five episodes there are so many surprises left in store for TVLine.

I invite all fans to settle down, because, Schaeffer said, there is more to come.

In the 2011 movie Thor, when she was studying political science at Culver University, Darcy first appeared. Darcy helped contribute to their astrophysics studies while interning with Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgard), then eventually pursued her own doctorate degree in astrophysics in Thor: The Secret World of 2013.

Darcy was also the first scientist in WandaVision Episode 4 to know that broadcast frequencies were broadcast from Westview, facilitating the exploration of the sitcom world of Wanda and Vision and, according to a mysterious Dennings, more noteworthy (and possibly unexpected) moments are ahead for the character.

“I’m going to say that you probably see Darcy stuff that hasn’t been seen before”, she teases, while still offering “a lot more” of the lovely relationship between Darcy and Jimmy Woo of Randall Park: “there’s nothing more enjoyable for me than seeing two characters you don’t want together, thrown together.” (With Keisha Hatchett’s reporting)
