Miracle Workers Season 3 Teased By Geraldine Viswanathan “We’re Sort of Mixing It Up”

Miracle Workers Season 3 Updates: Right now, there are plenty of amazing binge-watch choices out there, but the TBS movie, Miracle Workers, is one of my absolute favorites for 2020.

It’s a comedy anthology series starring Daniel Radcliffe, Jon Bass, Lolly Adefope, Steve Buscemi, Karan Soni, and Geraldine Viswanathan. With Buscemi starring as a version of God who has absolutely no idea what he’s doing, the first season transforms heaven into a warehouse of sorts.

The vast majority of his workers are absolutely fed-up with their role, tasked with keeping the Earth up and going in the most boring ways imaginable. But, after she is reassigned to the Department of Answered Prayers, a position where she feels she can actually make a difference, Viswanathan’s Eliza discovers new meaning, also alongside Daniel Radcliffe’s Craig, the department’s single employee who is committed to the job but chooses to concentrate on the easiest of prayers, including locating missing keys.

The second season transforms the ensemble into a collection of peasants from medieval times. Viswanathan plays Alexandra Shitshoveler, the daughter of a shitshoveler (Buscemi) who, while she dreams of bigger things, is doomed to be a shitshoveler.

What Daniel Radcliffe has to say about Miracle Workers Season 3?

Radcliffe, meanwhile, is now a prince who wants to appease his father, a warmonger, but finds himself more motivated to care about the people of their kingdom.

While there are some common concepts and concepts that run through both seasons, director Simon Rich and his team just hit it out of the park, addressing two entirely different settings and character casts.

For the next edition of Collider Ladies Night, we have Viswanathan and she took a moment to explore how certain roles were chosen for certain members of the ensemble in the Dark Ages:

“I believe Simon really wanted to flip Dan and Steve’s status, particularly. I think the best possible God-status is the lowest possible Shitshovler-status. That just sort of flipped it, I guess. For my character, I guess it felt like some kind of shared thread was there. I feel like I was sort of in the audience’s way in both seasons, a little ahead of her time and kind of contributing to the fractured world around her.”

What is Viswanathan looking for next now that Miracle Workers has been formally renewed for a third season? Does she want to stick with the particular theme this time around or get it turned around for her? This is what she was saying:

“I want to see something a bit new this season, and I think it’s going to be a little different from what I’ve learned. We’re kind of changing things up for this season on several fronts, so I’m pretty excited to see what they come up with.”

They changed it up well to make the transition from Season 1 to Season 2, but for this episode, I have high expectations Rich and co. are going three for three. Season 1 is available for viewing on HBO Max if you are yet to watch Miracle Men, and Season 2 is available on digital channels for purchase.
