Riverdale Season 5 Ep 4: KJ Apa to leave Riverdale?but It’s Not What You Think

Riverdale Season 5 Ep 4 Updates: The recent episode of Riverdale has left the audience in shock as it may look like Riverdale is writing off Archie in coming episodes.

In the 4^th episode of season 5, i.e, “Chapter Eighty: Purgatory”, the audience can see Archie leaving to join the Army, which disbands the gang letting everyone travel in their own path.

Except for the Jughead, who returns to Riverdale. It takes almost a time gap of 6 years for these friends to unite again.

Is KJ will be no more in the show?

Most of the KJ fans are worried about the rumors of him leaving the show, all thanks to the Army plot. But it is assured that Archie will be continuing the show (with a prediction of not living in the actual town for a while).

Here fans should be aware that there is a huge time gap between the seasons. Even in the comics from which the series is adapted, we can see Archie is left for the army, but he comes back.

But from this, we cannot surely say that he will be back for the show, as we don’t know if the show makers are actually following the comic that closes.

Riverdale Season 5 Ep 4: Spoilers ahead

According to the miniseries, Archie 1941, we can see Archie joins in the military though being unsure about where life is taking him.

He has always heard from his father, Luke Perry, that if he wants to do something himself then he would join the military. This is the reason why he joins in the military.

The later part of the show makes everyone emotional by the tragic news of Archie dying. He gets hit by a cannon shell. His family arranges a funeral for him, but Mary Andrews and Betty Cooper disagree with the news that Archie is dead for real.

As their prediction, he’s not. Betty can find writing a letter which claims her leaving the Riverdale. At the time she boards the train, Archie finds her there. Archie is perfectly alright, but with a case of soap opera-esque amnesia. He took shelter with Tunisian nomads who hid him from Nazis.

This is not definitely for the first time to have such twists in the show, remember the time when he almost gets killed by the bear in Chapter forty-four: No Exit, even at that time he is luckily saved from that situation too.
