Tom Holland Would Love to Play James Bond

Young British actor Tom Holland was one of the most famous characters ever created as a Spider-man at the MCU in Hollywood. However, the rising star appears to be famished for more legendary positions he will play. He named James Bond as a favorite choice in an interview with Variety to ask Holland if there were any roles which he was particularly interested in.

“I’ve got two roles coming up that I’m playing in the next few years that I’m really excited about, but I can’t talk about them yet. But I mean, ultimately, as a young British lad who loves cinema, I’d love to be James Bond. So, you know, I’m just putting that out there. I look pretty good in a suit.”

For fans who know Holland well as a fun and eager Peter Parker alias Spider-Man, it can be hard to picture the star as an aloof secret agent 007. But Holland’s recent work, from Cherry to The Devil all the time, has shown that he has a great deal of scope and that it will be an exciting and surprising option to become the next James Bond.

Tom Holland Would Love to Play James Bond or Batman

Unfortunately, there are a few explanations that this is actually never going to happen. The average age of Bond actors is about 43. At the age of 24, Holland could be considered too young to play a position that needs a great deal of gravity. Henry Cavill was 22 when he auditioned for Bond at Casino Royale, but he was beaten by Daniel Craig, who was 38 at the time.

Holland is simply now too popular, another significant aspect. Historically, the James Bond franchise has selected small actors with nothing in the way of previous baggage from other roles to reflect Bond. Audiences would have been less involved in Holland’s trip than Bond if they wanted him to take action on the network at some time.

Yet, while Bond could just be out of reach for Tom Holland, the Kingsman franchise, which is essentially a Bond pastiche, and featuring several younger actors in lead roles will be perfectly supplemented.

Holland is now too busy to pin over Bond for his own films. Apart from spider-man, he will also portray Nathan Drake from the Uncharted games as part of a live-action similar to Indiana Jones.

Then there is the next cherry, which will find Holland in the leading spot as a war veteran, returning home with PTSD and addicted to heroin and turning to a violent lifestyle to prepare for addiction. The movie trailer has always earned love, and we also learn that Holland has an Oscar nomination on its cards. All this critical and commercial performance will make Holland feel disappointed not to play James Bond.
