Netflix Accepts Season 1 of Capitani: Looking forward for Season 2

Capitani Season 2 Update: Netflix has gained the streaming rights to the crime drama series from Luxembourg, Capitani which will reach on Netflix in the majority of regions from February 2021.

The crime drama lines up a detective who heads up to the north of Luxembourg to a rural village where a teenage girl has gone missing. The detective, Luc Capitani has a very big culture thunderstruck settling into the town and finds himself as an outsider.

Luc Schiltz, Sophie Mousel, Desiree Nosbusch, Stefan Weinert and Marc Limpach are the cast for 1^st season.

Though only a palm-full of reviews are available on IMDb for the series, it currently holds on 8.6/10/ the first series which aired on RTL in 2019.

Thierry Faber who actually served as the showrunner for season 1 said that about Netflix selecting up the series:

“Seeing our work going live on a global entertainment zone of this scale is obviously a source of immense joy and pride.

I am very curious how audiences around the world will be perceiving our show and I can’t wait to get some feedback. It’s a motivation to keep working and we will certainly continue to develop interesting projects. In meantime, I’m wishing Luc Capitani good luck on his world tour.”

The first season consists of 12 long episodes and is all set to debut on Netflix on February 11^th, 2021 in full. The show should be showing up in the coming section of the Netflix application.

Capitani Season 2:Coming to Netflix

Season two of the show has been authorized according to a newsletter release from Samsa Film that states the filming for the 2^nd season is currently in prep and focuses to start shooting in the middle of March 2021.

Though it was not confirmed that Netflix would be getting season two, it is expected that to be received yet. Assuming that the series, 2^nd season would be airing in Luxembourg in 2022 we can expect to see the series come to Netflix relatively soon after but we will be keeping you updated as and when we learn more on his front.
