Bridge and Tunnel: Episode 1 Recap

Bridge and Tunnel Update: The latest EPIX series, Bridge and Tunnel are created by Edward Burns. The first episode sets up a story of six recent college graduates, and their journey after graduating from college in 1980, Long Island and Manhattan.

Episode 1 of the series opens up with the graduation night where jimmy (Sam Vartholomeos) and his ex-girlfriend hooking up with each other in the bathroom, which got jimmy too caught up having jill (Caitlin Stasey) back in his arms that he left his prized camera behind, which is the perfect metaphor for the type of relationship they were having.

Bridge and Tunnel: Episode 1

Throughout the first episode, it is seen that nobody is in the favor of them being back into the relationship. They are surely in love with each other but as jill said that whatever they are having is real but their futures are not compatible with each other. Even jimmy’s parents were concerned about him getting back with jill on the bed again and again could possibly threaten his future as a photographer for National Geographic, which he’s been chasing since childhood.

Stacey who is jill’s best friend too thinks that while jill is more city girl, jimmy is a more nature boy and is not compatible with each other as jill is preparing for her career in fashion designing in Manhattan.

In the first episode of the show, it is jill trying to break things off with jimmy after getting convinced by Stacey, that jimmy is not the best choice for her.

But she found herself not capable of herself doing it over a phone call, so she and Jimmy decide that their old gang should meet up at their favorite neighborhood pub to reminisce on old times.

In the first episode Stacey, jill, and their friend Tammy (Gigi Zumbado) drove to Tavern, and together discussing the evening plans, Stacey wants Tammy and jill to look after her if she’s fooling around with her ex there, Mikey  (Jan Luis Castellanos) as she was serious for her guy in Manhattan and doesn’t want to end up being a bad girl.

But later found that Tammy as she had a huge crush over Mikey, tries to chase him up which makes Stacey upset as the moment she saw Mikey, she was like all over him again

As for jill and jimmy,

Jimmy immediately notices that something is off with Jill since their fantastic night together. She’s acting odd toward him and doesn’t seem inclined to spend any more one-on-one time with him which left jimmy being disappointed.
