WandaVision: Kat Dennings, Darcy Lewis Actress Likes Her New Tweeter Emoji

WandaVision Updates: Marvel alum Kat Dennings, who plays research scientist Darcy Lewis, shared her appreciation for the Darcy Tweet emoji of WandaVision, a first for her role.

Kat Dennings, aka Darcy Lewis of WandaVision, likes her new official Tweet emoji from MCU. WandaVision, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany recasting their appearances as Avengers Wanda Maximoff and Vision, respectively, is Disney+’s first Marvel television show.

Although several new characters have been added, some other recognizable MCU faces are also included in the episode, such as Randall Park, who had first appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp as Agent Woo, and Dennings, whose character debuted in the first Thor film.

Pairing Twitter emojis and hashtags have become a hallmark of every major moment in pop culture. To advertise new releases, major studios like Marvel and Lucasfilm use them.

Artist Truck Torrance, or @100soft, partners with all of those businesses in his “kawaii” style to convert their characters into emojis. Torrance unveiled 3 new emojis to the MCU collection with the release of episode 4 of WandaVision, which explored characters beyond the scary town of Westview: Darcy Lewis, Jimmy Woo, and Monica Rambeau.

WandaVision: Actress Darcy Lewis

Darcy actress Dennings was really happy with her latest, cute emoji on Twitter. “I HAVE A #DarcyLewis EMOJI!? Goodbye, I have passed away.” she tweeted. Moving right to the source, she also expressed how much she enjoyed it with the artist (adding a sad emoji for emphasis). With some more news, Torrance answered — Darcy Lewis also has a WandaVision Instagram sticker. Dennings replied with a passionate, “Aaahhhhh!!!”

Given the fact that Darcy Lewis had appeared years before Wanda or Vision in the MCU, the latter pair had previously obtained the emoji treatment, although WandaVision is brand new to Darcy’s emoji.

Of course, Wanda and Vision are larger characters, like the Avengers. It still needs to do, though, with the fact that Darcy’s big appearances were in 2011 and 2013 before a standard marketing strategy was Twitter emoji, also known as Hashflags. It did not become a common branding tactic until about 2015, while hash flags premiered for the 2010 World Cup.

Fans of WandaVision were taught to keep a close watch on easter eggs and any advice that could unravel the several mysteries of the show. With that in mind, analyzing the WandaVision character emojis for hints might make sense, but that doesn’t seem like there’s a lot to learn from the hash flag of Darcy or even the other supporting characters.

However, it may not be entirely out of the question: a big spoiler about Rachel Weisz’s character could have been uncovered by the forthcoming Black Widow movie emojis. The Darcy emoji is, though, a very sweet companion to WandaVision and an exceptional contribution to the Marvel Cinematic Emoji-verse.
