Money Heist Season 5 Update: The last outing of the Spanish mystery series will be season 5 of MONEY HEIST. But is this going to be separated into two parts, or air all at once?

At some point in 2021, La Casa de Papel has been reported to be airing its fifth and final season on Netflix. The entertainment network disclosed that the new outing would be stretched to a 10-episode run when it was first revealed. A recent interview, though, indicated that they could be broken into two pieces – here’s what Netflix has explained about the structure of the final season.

Money Heist Season 5 Will be split into two parts?

Fans of Money Heist have been desperate to see what’s next for the characters since the conclusion of season four. In order to help the group flee, fans can recall how the outing ended with Lisbon (played by Itziar Ituño) being snuck into the Bank of Spain. Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) tried to track down where the professor (Álvaro Morte) was hiding when this was happening. She put a revolver to his head after storming his hideout until the screen cut to black.

Fortunately, Netflix has announced that the show is coming back to the network for a fifth and final season. It started shooting across Europe in late 2020 and is currently still in progress. There has been no release date confirmed yet, but Netflix has hinted that it will be released in 2021.

However, a new rumor suggested that when it opens, the show might be broken into two halves. This news is known from an interview with Cayo, well known as a star of Colonel Luis Tamayo. He gave an update to his fans about this during an Instagram live video shared on his website, according to the fan account VoRLCDP on Twitter.

The fan account tweeted: “LCDP5: In a live performance, Fernando Cayo says that season 5 is incredible and that we’re going to freak out about 3-4 [times].” “He also mentions that it may be premiered in two parts (5 and6) and will be published in the near future.” Fans asked if this could be real when the show was not split into several sections for the first time.

Season one of the Spanish series was divided into part one and part two when it was broadcast on Netflix. Netflix has now explained, though, that this is not the case and that the series will air in one go. The streaming platform confirmed the rumor was not accurate in a statement to Express.co.uk.

Fans will also be delighted to hear that there will be more episodes than previous outings to enjoy when it is released. When it was announced, Netflix confirmed that there will be 10 episodes for viewers to enjoy in total. This is greater than the eight episodes that appeared in seasons 3 and 4.
