Food That Built America Season 2 Update: The HISTORY® Channel is feeding viewers appetites with season two of its hit nonfiction series The Food That Created America, premiering a special sneak peek on Tuesday, February 9 at 10 PM ET/PT before switching to its daily timeslot on Sundays at 9 PM ET/PT, and returning series Modern Marvels now hosted by food author and culinary entrepreneur Adam Richman, airing on Sunday, February 21st at 10 PM The Food That Created America reveals the interesting storey behind the titans that battled their way to the top of the food chain this season and bites into the rivalries between some of the largest and most famous food brands such as Pizza Hut, Oreo, Kraft, McDonalds, Cheetos and more.

Expert commentary from celebrity chefs, food bloggers, and entrepreneurs such as Adam Richman, Marcus Samuelsson, and Rza is included in the 15-episode collection. Adam Richman tours the country in Modern Marvels to behemoth factory lines and independently-run stores that go behind the scenes of famous brands and offer an inside look at how our favourite items such as cookies, cheese and ice cream are made.

Food That Built America Season 2: About the episode Pizza wars

The Pizza Wars show, airing at 10 PM ET/PT on Tuesday, February 9, tells the tales of the first franchises that proudly brought pizza to America – Pizza Hut and Dominos.

Episode two The Chocolate Rush, airing at 10 PM ET/PT on Valentine’s Day, Sunday, February 14th, satisfies the sweet tooth of audiences with an indulgence in the chocolate empires of titans Milton Hershey and Harry Burnett Reese, whose small creations have forever created America’s love of chocolate.

Modern Marvels watches Richman’s host around the world when he figures out what there is to know about producing some of America’s favourite cake, cheese and ice cream foods.

The series presents the how, why, and where of various items, augmented with archival footage, insightful expert interviews, and on-site tours, to investigate the behind-the-scenes processes of famous foods and the inspiration behind each product.

Modern Marvels, originally conceived by television-industry veteran Bruce Nash, is produced by the Six West MediaTM group for The HISTORY Channel.

Executive producers for the Six West MediaTM company include Matthew Pearl, Kristy Sabat, Steve Ascher, and Matthew Braley. The HISTORY Channel, Jim Pasquarella and Mary E. Donahue serve as executive producers.
