Witcher Season 2: Who Has Nivellen In This Series

Witcher Season 2 Update: Witcher Season 2 will premiere new players, including Nivellen, and here we know that who he is. This series is based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s book series of the same name, The Witcher made his debut on Netflix in December 2019 and was so well-received by reviewers and audiences that it could be the biggest streaming giant ever.

Netflix realized what it had in The Witcher, mainly because of the success of the novels and their video game adaptations, and revived the series for the second season before the first one was finished. The audience was waiting for the upcoming season of this series.

The team behind The Witcher wanted to treat Sapkowski’s stories differently because instead of only chasing the title witch, it focuses on three characters in various locations and points in time, whose journeys intersect at the end of the season.

Witcher Season 2: Update

These characters are Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), an improved monster hunter known as the “witcher;” Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra), a formidable sorceress; and Ciri (Freya Allan), crown princess of Cintra, who has powers of her own.

Nivellen character was played by Kristofer Hivju, is one of the characters reported to appear in Witcher season 2. He was the leader of a group of highwaymen and cutthroats, and during the burglary of the Temple in Gelibol, the gang forced Nivellen to rape the young priestess who was there.

Little did they know, the woman was a priestess of Coram Agh Tera, the Cult of the Lionhead Spider, and before she killed herself, she spits on Nivellen’s face and cursed him to become a “monster in the skin of a monster” as he was already a “monster in the skin of a man.”

Nivellen made his debut in the short story “A Grain of Truth,” part of the book The Last Wish, in which he encountered Geralt 12 years after he was cursed while the witch was investigating the death of a trader and a female friend near his manor.

Now, back in December 2020, Netflix shared the first page of the script for the first episode of Witcher Season 2, and while it doesn’t seem to show anything, the story of the merchant, his wife, and his daughter is very similar to the one in “A Grain of Truth” and thus points to Nivellen’s debut in the series in the very first episode of the new season.
