Riverdale Reunion Update: In a recent Instagram post for Ashleigh Murray’s (who plays Jossie McCoy) birthday, Riverdale’s creator and showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa hinted at some “BIG REUNION.” In the caption of the post, he said,
“Happy birthday to the gorgeous and beyond talented @iamamurray!! (I think this picture is from our first or second @comic_con together!) Ashleigh, like Josie, you are a superstar. You are passionate, a pro, and a class act through and through. Can’t wait for what’s coming next, starting with…A BIG REUNION!!! Love you, Lady!! ?❤️??????”
This came merely two days after Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa had hinted at some crossover between Riverdale and its now-canceled spin-off show Katy Keene.
Riverdale Reunion Update:
Riverdale, the show, which started in 2017 is in its fifth season now. We have seen some mind-boggling and highly dramatic stuff till now. From Jason’s murder to the Blackhand to Archie being imprisoned. The show has gained a loyal audience who will watch anything the creators put out.
The show has a stellar cast who have gained fame, popularity, and success over the last five years. The show has Cole Sprouse, who plays Jughead Jones, Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty, KJ Apa plays Archie, Camila Mendes plays Veronica, Madelaine Petsch plays Cheryll, etc. With these people in their ranks, the creators have been producing quality content which audiences are glued to.
In their fifth season, which premiered on 20 January 2021 on Netflix, the show witnessed some highly anticipated changes. Our favorite characters are no longer in high school for one thing. The show took a seven-year leap. This means that all of them are grown up and in their 20s now.
The first episode of the season was everything we had hoped it would be. With Jughead gone, it does seem like something is missing but, we have enough to keep our mind occupied with. Betty is training for the FBI, Veronica is married, Toni is pregnant. This season has a lot in store for us.
The fifth season starts off with the characters at their graduation. The most looked forward thing for the season apart from the changing relationships of the characters, is the prom. The prom is going to be shown in the second episode.
No matter what happens, one thing is for sure. This season is going to be drama intensive. With the introduction of new characters and the revival of the old along with the promise of the alluring reunion, this season has a lot in store for us.
