Lucille Ball Biopic: Will & Grace’s Wants to Join the Biopic

Lucille Ball Biopic Updates: Aaron Sorkin is a celebrated screenwriter, director, producer, and playwright. He is known for his work in The Social Network, The Trials of Chicago Seven, et cetera is reportedly writing and directing for the upcoming movie ‘Being the Ricardos.’

He worked as a writer for the show the West Wing for seven years. This gave him the opportunity to display his mad writing skills. He is a fan favorite and his dialogues are remarkable. 

The movie ‘Being the Ricardos‘ is based on the marriage of the popular television actress Lucille Ball and her husband Desi Arnaz. The couple worked together on the famous 50’s T.V. Show, “I love Lucy.”

The show was based on Lucy’s earlier gig as Liz Cooper on the popular CBS radio show, “My favorite husband.” The show remained an American favorite throughout the ’50s. Now, it is an icon other shows rarely live up to. 

The movie is being produced by Amazon Studios in collaboration with Aaron Sorkin. Although no one has been officially signed to play the iconic couple yet, Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem are reportedly in discussions with the Studio. They might finalize the deal soon. 

Nicole Kidman is not the only actress contending to play the coveted role of Lucille Ball. In a recent Twitter discussion about who might fill the shoes of the yesteryear actress, fans brought up the name of actress Debra Messing. 

All About the Roel in Lucille Ball Biopic

Although brought up out of the blue, the actress seemed keen on playing the role. When a fan tweeted – 

“Choosing to believe that @DebraMessing was unavailable or something :)”

The actress replied – 

“Oh no, I’m available.”

Other people showed similar outrage about the Studio’s failure in seeing the actress as a potential Lucie Ball. Actress Valerie Bertinelli tweeted – 

“Debra Messing was robbed.”

This is a feeling shared by most people. If people are to be believed, Debra Messing and Lucie Ball look uncannily similar. 

Although she is not as famous as Nicole Kidman, Debra Messing is known for her role as Grace in Will and Grace. The show went on a break for a few years after eleven long seasons. This could be the perfect time for the actress to try out something new. If she will be cast as Lucie Ball is something which we will have to wait and see. 

No matter what happens, we are going to get a mind-blowing movie. What else can we expect from the insane writing and direction skills of Aaron Sorkin?
